Limited edition print by Peter Doherty for sale

"
"In for a penny, in for a pound" was painted in 2005 in Whitechapel by Peter Doherty in his blood using a finger and a syringe. It portrays a view of himself from behind onstage at the Hackney Empire Theatre, before him is arrayed a packed house in the ground floor stalls and two upper tiers. Across the front of the balcony is written the words "In for a penny ...." - the title of the work.
In 2006 the art dealer Oliver Ballentyne-Way commissioned a limited edition of the print from an atelier in Berlin and 4 artists proofs and 270 prints were produced on fine heavy quality ivory paper marked on the reverse with the atelier's stamp.
The original painting in blood was displayed at the Hackney Empire Theatre until early 2014 when it was removed to become an exhibit in the exhibition "Flags of The Old Regime" curated by France Lombard-Bèche at her gallery "Le Rural" outside Geneva.

It was a centrepiece of the4 exhibition and was sold for £21,000.
The print is approximately 19 inches x 19 inches square and a small number remain available for sale at the original and very reasonable price of £250.00 plus £10.00 postage and packing.

In November 2015 while4 in London Peter signed 19 of the prints in black marker pen and these are currently available for sale at £250.00 each.
In an introspective mood he added the words "want people to think what?" to one of the prints and it is available for sale at £500.00
